We specialise in concrete water tank repairs using specialised cement-based products for the restoration of cracks, seeps and holes that cause water leakage and loss.
To ensure a leaking tank is repaired properly, the remedial work is performed from inside the tank, thereby protecting the steel skeleton from further water damage.
Over a period of time, the inside surface of water tanks become porous. This is due to rainwater being slightly acidic. This acidic water takes lime from the cement to reach a neutral pH level of water.
Lime is the critical bonding agent in cement, so once it disappears the inside of the tank becomes rough, sandy and porous.
Having lost that critical seal, moisture seeps into the steel skeleton. Once steel comes into contact with water, it oxidises and creates rust. Rusting steel expands causing cracks.
To prevent this from happening and to extend the life of your tank, we resurface the inside of tanks to provide a waterproof barrier.
Our repair method eliminates the need for plastic liners, making the process far more cost effective and durable than installing a liner. The repair work will take 1-2 days to dry.
If you require water throughout the duration of the repair we can supply and plumb in a 1000 litre loan tank.
For the best quality job we source the best materials from Atlas Concrete and Cemix and Stratmore.
